From the moment Scooby Doo Lou was born, his breeder, Rebecca Thieme knew she had something special. She worked with him from a youngster on his ground manners, desensitizing and even teaching him tricks like his sire was known for. Thankfully, we were able to make this very correct, smart, and kind-tempered Section A Welsh Pony colt ours.

Scooby’s sire, The Promise Fancy Dancer, is a handsome bay splash stallion known for his good looks, fine mind, and quality. He is trained to do high-school dressage movements in the long-lines, like side passes, shoulder-in, the Spanish walk, pivot on the hindquarters and will wear tarps all day. These lines have just the temperament and trainability good Welsh Mountain Ponies are known for.

Scooby’s dam, is the lovely chestnut splash mare The Promise Cindy Lou. Her foals are treasures and in 2022, she presented her breeder with a dear grey filly, half-sister to Scooby. You can also find the Legion of Merit (LOM) earners, Farnley Kernel, Menai Silver Buck, Dandardel Vee Tango, and GTF Blazing Ethel. Not only are his ancestors colorful, they’re versatile enough to be shown in hand, be a kid’s best friend, or be trained in harness to drive.
