We are sad to announce that Khant BuyMe Love ("Indie"), beloved foundation mare at Candlelight Farms, nicknamed “White” by the children, has passed away at age 18 after a brief illness. She was rose grey turned white Arabian mare with a blaze wrapping to her jaw, four tall stockings, a huge belly spot, making her a moderate sabino Arabian who was double registered as a pinto.

We asked her for a colt in 2022 and she outdid herself by delivering the fancy bay and white colt, Hey Jude. As Indie’s last foal, and Desparado’s only recent foal, this gorgeous colt is being retained as a stallion prospect.

Indie was a feminine mare with the floaty movement that every breeder dreams of. With a dry, dished head, a narrow throat latch, and a topline that wouldn’t quit. She never took a wrong step, and was textbook correct from every direction. Indie had the characteristics every breeder seeks in their finest broodmares. She was incredibly intelligent and absolutely demands to be petted, but the icing on the cake is her fantastic sabino pinto coloration.

A daughter of the first foal crop of CJA High Khalibur (15.2H), she showed the extreme quality this stallion is producing. Khalibur has a Register of Merit in pinto halter, and is a stunning chestnut and white sabino pinto. Double registered Arabian and Pinto, he consistently passes on size, movement and trainability.  Regional SHIH top 3, and has been shown successfully at the class A and regional level in both hunter and sport horse. He has sired class A and regional champions in sport horse, western pleasure, hunter pleasure, reining, trail, hunter over fences, endurance and halter. You’ll find greats such as Khalahari Wind+, Khutty Sark, Khemosabi++++//, Fortel, Kimfa and Gdansk+ in his ancestry.

Indie’s dam was an elegant, very feminine and graceful grey sabino named EV LoveMe Do. LoveMe Do is a Kharben++/ daughter (Khemosabi++++//) out of an AR Mark+/ daughter. Other notables in her pedigree are: Ben Bask, Bask++, Khara Mia+, and Bay El Bey++.
Indie’s pedigree is chock full of Legion of Merit earners, which gave her the ability to produce foals that can win in any arena you wish to pursue, and they’re very people-friendly. Her first foal (Pinto double registration eligible) was shown was National Top Ten Sport Horse Colt In-Hand. Her daughters are treasured for their beauty and intelligence.

We know Indie's daughters and sons carry on her legacy of beauty, brains, athleticism, and most of all--kindness.
